Hello, Just a few photos of the Birds in our Flock.

If you click on the small image a Larger Photo will Download to your computer.

In August of 2006 Sarge came to live with us, she is a Yellow Napped Amazon Parrot. Friends were moving and could not keep her.

At first Dennis did not want Sarge in the house, that lasted 2 or 3 days. Sarge Picked Dennis as her companion.

In late January of 2007 Adam came to live with us, then Eve and Lucy & Ricky.

Adam our 1st cockatiel male            Eve Snowflake our 1st cockatiel female...(hence their names!)

Taken with cell Phone, they LOVED Cindy at C&B Birds store...and we were told they were nasty birds!

In June the Orange Wing Amazons arrived.... At this point the birds needed their own room.  We moved the Birds to the Living room.

The Living room was moved to the Dining room.  We gave up the Dining room.  The birds actually eat better food than we do...so no problem.

Close up of the Orange Wing Amazons ( Connie & Coco ) We plan to have them checked by Avian Vet. 03/2008

In June the Gray :Love Birds that we could not resist...we are seeking mates for them now.

Brownie & Blackie, Teal/slate Love Birds. (nest mates at 8 or 9 weeks old)

In Mid June Lucky arrived, he was a companion bird then placed with a hen to mate. She died while egg laying.

We are currently working with Lucky to re-socialize him with people.  He is doing very well and is now happy & active.

                  Lucky on the back porch

Lucky is a Red Tailed African Gray (also known as Congo African Gray). The newest boy in the house...and Mark's companion.

(Mark had to have his own companion since Sarge does not like him!)  Too bad for Mark's luck...Lucky seems to prefer Dennis now!  He was shifted to the "dark side"!!!

July of 2007 was a busy month...we had an explosion of birds....

OK, Sunday Nov 4, Ivory, an Umbrella Cockatoo came to live with us.

Ivory had a feather problem, New feathers are now growing.

She had been in a bad situation, another family took her in and nursed her back to health.

They could not keep her, it seems that she Prefers Men to Women.

She is very lovable and Needs Lots of attention!

Read more about Life with Ivory !

            Ivory & Dennis

Ivory has become Aunt Ivory, she likes to help feed the babies.

She will regurgitate for the babies.

Now if the babies respond to her looking in the brooder box, she tries to open it to feed them.

Ivory get upset if other people get close to any of the babies, she is very protective.

Ivory loves to dance, we need to get this on the video camera.

Ivory got to go on vacation this year with us for the first time (N. Myrtle Beach, SC).  Ivory and Lucky have not been on vacation before.

Sarge, Lucky and Ivory...they are set up in their travel cages in our bed room at N. Myrtle Beach.

They get the window area with a view of the Pool.
